A place to work through the hard stuff.
Counseling in Tullahoma for children, adults, couples, and families, with a focus on trauma and EMDR. You don’t need to know exactly what you need before you reach out.
Ways we can work together
Children & Families
Support for kids working through big emotions, behavior changes, or experiences they don’t have words for yet. Parents are part of the process, and family sessions are available when it helps.
Adults
Anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, life transitions, and patterns you’re ready to change.
Marriage Counseling
For couples who keep having the same argument, feel more like roommates, or want help reconnecting before things get harder.
Trauma + EMDR
For experiences that keep shaping your reactions, relationships, or sense of safety long after they happened.
You don’t have to have the right words yet.
Maybe the same patterns keep showing up. Maybe something happened that still follows you, or your child’s mood has changed and you can’t figure out why. You don’t have to know what kind of counseling you need or whether your experience “counts.” That’s something you can sort out together.
Worry that won’t settle
Feeling low or stuck
A hard experience that still affects you
Strain in a relationship
Changes in your child’s mood or behavior
Kids don’t always tell us what’s wrong with words.
Sometimes it shows up as anger, worry, trouble sleeping, pulling away from friends, or a sudden change at school. LeeAnn enjoys working with children and helps them make sense of what they’re feeling in a way that fits their age.
What parents often notice
Anger or meltdowns that seem bigger than the moment
Worry, clinginess, or trouble separating
Pulling away from friends or family
Changes at school
Trouble sleeping
A move, loss, divorce, or other big change
Something happened they can’t explain yet
Sometimes the past becomes part of your default settings.
A hard experience can shape how you react, what you believe about yourself, and how safe you feel with other people, sometimes years later. Trauma counseling helps you understand those patterns and loosen their hold. LeeAnn is trained in EMDR, which helps the brain process difficult memories so they carry less weight in the present.
Meet LeeAnn
LeeAnn has counseled kids as young as four and adults into their seventies, and she likes that variety. She works from a trauma-informed lens, draws from narrative therapy, and uses EMDR. She’ll be warm with you, and she’ll also be honest when she sees a pattern worth looking at.
Why Pearl?
Pearl Counseling is named for LeeAnn’s grandmother, Miriam Pearl Holden, a deeply hopeful and loving nurse whose care still shapes this practice.
A pearl forms when something hard gets inside the shell. It doesn’t erase the injury. It makes a way to carry it differently.
